What we are looking for

We are looking for you to join our new business and customer relationship team. You will help us market our services, talk to potential customers, support existing customers and become an integral member of our business team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our software developers, our products and gain expert knowledge of the conveyancing market.

Who we want

Skills are important, but so is attitude. If you love talking to customers and helping troubleshoot IT related issues then you will be in good company.

DVLA partners with TechHub Swansea – a networking community of technology and software firms which include Hoowla!

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is to invest in the future of “home grown” businesses in a move that promises to reduce its £100m-a-year reliance on multinational IT firms. The Swansea-based agency has announced plans to inject a six-figure sum, plus time and talent, into South Wales’s digital economy, which is home to an increasing number of software companies including Hoowla, our conveyancing case management software.

Adam Curtis, co-founder of Techhub and CEO here at Hoowla (pictured below on the left) said the DVLA’s investment will “fly the flag” for the future of British technology firms. Adam added: “The overall vision of TechHub Swansea is to develop a strong cluster of technology driven companies in the Swansea Bay City Region and be one of the main areas of employment. Having the support of DVLA is really important for Swansea. DVLA is one of the largest employers in the city and its commitment to building local developer talent only strengthens Swansea’s status as Wales’ tech city.”

Oliver Morley, Chief Executive of DVLA (pictured below on the right) said “There is no question whatsoever that Britain generally, and Swansea in particular, is home to some of the most talented software developers in the world”.

Create invoices in seconds
You can now generate invoices and track payments in Hoowla. When instructing a client you can raise an invoice from their conveyancing quote, add billable items to it and send it off in a few simple steps.

Take payments online
With GoCardless we’ve made it even easier for customers to pay you. Take payments from customers online, it’s extremely straightforward to set up and adds a service to your firm that will wow your customers.

Bespoke conveyancing quotes
We’ve enhanced our conveyancing calculator so you can now create bespoke conveyancing quotes for clients along with making amendments to existing quotes, covering off those more complicated transactions.

Track business with new reports
With the addition of our quote calculator we have added a number of new reports to your dashboard that allow you to track instructed business helping you keep your finger on the pulse and know where your clients are coming from.

We’ve launched our secure deal room

As always we are one step ahead of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Portal. Conveyancers can collaborate on legal documents in Hoowla and now lock them in our secure deal room prior to exchange. We believe one of the greatest challenges to conveyancers today is effective communication and collaboration. Our main focus at Hoowla is the provision of a secure platform for firms to progress conveyancing transactions and manage interactions with clients, other conveyancers and estate agents.

Collaborate securly on documents
Conveyancers can share, review and securely collaborate on contracts through Hoowla. No more marking up hard copies, scanning in documents, searching through emails and triple checking you have the right version.

Lock contracts prior to exchange
Contracts can be shared with clients for review and once finalised and all parties are happy, it can be locked securely in our deal room. Locking a contract in the deal room means no further edits can be made, the contract can only be viewed.

Why did OneSearch Direct decide to work with Hoowla?

Ronnie Park, owner of OneSearch Direct talks about his decision to work with innovative conveyancing platform provider Hoowla in an interview with Today’s Conveyancer.

Ronnie Park comments:

‘We are increasingly looking at ourselves as a data business in the search industry and we have a new mantra about cooperation with other parties and even with competitors. One company can’t be an expert in everything. So as a data business we want to combine with other data people – innovative people. Hoowla is very good at what it does with brains just out of university – it’s a young business with a fresh approach. And we’re very good at what we do – over 22 years we have built an unrivalled and vast database containing electronic and therefore searchable local authority information.  Working with companies like Hoowla will make that information more accessible to our customer base. So it’s a good fit.

Hoowla has a light business model – lawyers can use their case management systems; they can pay as they go; there are no legacy systems involved.  I’d been keen to move towards a simplified system that brings information closer to the lawyer for a long time and working with Hoowla seems the perfect way of achieving this.’
